Neptune rules over the waters of love. Named after the Roman god of the sea, Neptune can be placid and calm or stormy and tumultuous. There are times when its energy summons forth the better angels of our nature and there are times when it stirs up our darkest prejudices and delusions. It will be hard to tell which is which when Neptune trines Mars on Dec. 27. It all depends on where you stand on the subject of forgiveness. If you feel like you’ve been wronged and there’s no making things right then Neptune will pull you down into the depths like the sirens of myth; but if you feel exhausted by your anger then Neptune will offer you relief if you’re willing to give up your grudge. Forgiveness is a strength; not a weakness. That’s why it’s such a tall order.
