Free soloing is a form of extreme mountain climbing where the climber ascends alone without benefit of ropes, harnesses, or protective gear. It’s analogous to walking a tightrope without a net underneath – although it’s a lot harder because you have to pull yourself up higher with your own strength. You are totally on your own. And that’s the way you might feel this week when the Moon eclipses the Sun in the zodiac sign of Capricorn on Dec. 25. The ball’s in your court and it’s totally up to you to surmount a certain obstacle, wrestle an inner demon, or find your way out of a dilemma. Capricorn tests us to go farther than we think we can and to reach for things that appear to be totally beyond our grasp but if you draw on your experience, have faith in your ingenuity, and take things one handhold at a time then you may wind up surprising yourself. Just don’t look down.
