They say it’s always darkest before the dawn and with so many planets traveling through Capricorn, zodiac sign of the winter solstice, you can expect long chilly nights punctuated by occasional shafts of light. Nevertheless the very thing that tries our souls is also the very thing that turns our gaze upwards so that we reach for the highest in ourselves rather than stoop to the lowest. Saturn’s entrance into Aquarius on March 21 coincides with dawn breaking on an overcast day but clouds will clear in Oct. Meanwhile Venus retrograde from May 13 to June 25 insinuates that it would be a good idea to keep friends close but your enemies closer as you won’t always be sure about who you can trust. Finally an inflammatory Mars retrograde in Aries beginning in Sept shows long simmering tensions coming to a boil between the forces of change and those who refuse to budge.
