The fact that both you and the other party hold this person in such high regard makes them the perfect go-between. However you will have to follow what they say to the letter. There can be no second-guessing or taking things under advisement. Time is of the essence if you want to reach an agreement or forge a truce. Obviously you will have to give up some things – as will the other side – but the fact that you’re doing this under the supervision of someone who knows you well means that it will result in an arrangement that you can both live with.
