VENUS RETROGRADE

They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but who’s in the more enviable position? Beauty? Or the beholder? Most would agree that it’s better to be the person who’s adored than the one who does the adoring but that could all change when Venus turns retrograde on July 22. Retrogrades are traditionally associated with about-faces and Venus’s backwards motion in the sky could bring about an unexpected role reversal so that instead of you placing someone on a pedestal, it will somebody else genuflecting before you. This could happen romantically with a potential paramour pursuing you rather than vice-versa or it could manifest as a headhunter recruiting you for a rival company or the friend of a friend who recognizes in you something that your own social circle took for granted a long time ago. It’s not every day when you are seen afresh in the eyes of someone new so be forewarned that this could lead to a series of complications that may prove as inviting as they are costly. Venus will be retrograde from July 22 to September 3d.
