TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING?

Can you really have too much of a good thing? Many of us would laugh and say “no”. One can never have enough money or love or happiness. But if one were to really think about it then the answer would be yes because too much of anything saturates. Too much bad fortune stymies and defeats just as too much good fortune bloats and desensitizes. Sun/Jupiter squares – like the one on August 6th – often warn against an inflated sense of self or your eyes being too big for your stomach. And these are good things to keep in mind whenever fortune smiles in your direction. Does good fortune make you haughty or gluttonous? But perhaps the real question is: does good fortune make you a good person? Many of us see good fortune as a reward – something we’ve earned and should hold on to because we deserve it. But how many of us see good fortune as a calling to share the good that we have with others who aren’t as fortunate? Giving back is the great message of Jupiter because that’s how the planet of good begets good in the world.
