DAY OF RECKONING

The Sun winds up its tenure in Libra this week – much to everyone’s collective relief. Usually this is a rather staid and balanced transit but not this Libra Season. A Sun/Mars square followed by a Solar Eclipse has left people wondering if there is such a thing as fairness, justice, and peace in the world? Are these empty ideals or guiding Stars in a time of need? Pluto’s long stay in Capricorn has been a story of what happens when you ignore history. History is a lot like a storage closet. At first it’s where you put items that you’re not using, but over time it collects the things you forgot about or don’t really like but don’t feel like you can get rid of either. At a certain point that closet becomes overstuffed and ready to burst so that the next time you open the door everything comes pouring out. None of the lessons you face now are new and in fact the warnings of not understanding them are centuries old.  The question raised by the Sun/Pluto square on October 21st is are you going to learn from what’s come before or repeat it?
