WHY NOT?

We’re often told to go slow when it comes to change. That if we bide our time and are patient then we will recognize the right circumstances when they show up. But this is based on the idea of virtue being its own reward. It assumes that we will still have the vision, the ardor, and the fire in the belly to do what’s right when the time has come. There are certain astrological events in the sky that fly in the face of the status quo. Uranus changing signs is one and solar eclipses are another. These are Astrology’s wild cards aimed at upending conventional wisdom and seeing what shakes out. For months you’ve asked yourself “why”? Why would you want to change this, upset that, or walk out on those things that have given you support and security – even though you’ve resented them all along? On July 2 the solar eclipse in Cancer changes that question to “why not”? And that might just be the only question worth asking.
