Do you know what gaslighting is? It’s when somebody is messing with you. It begins with sowing seeds of doubt about conversations you never had and promises you never made and gradually escalates into the other party accusing you of making things up in your head. Suddenly it’s not your lover who’s cheating on you, but your suspicious nature that’s taken over and is undermining the trust in your relationship. Or maybe it’s not your boss who was misleading but your eagerness to please that led you to say yes to more work for no extra pay. These sorts of mind games are nothing new when Mercury conjoins retrograde Venus and then squares Neptune on May 22. The hard part will be in breaking ties with someone you thought was in your corner. The truth is s/he never was. And that will probably be the most painful realization of all.
