SEED SELF

We all have three selves. There’s our public self – defined by the face we show the world, the role we play, and the responsibilities we accumulate. There’s our private self. That’s the person we’re really like on the inside; the one that we’re the most at home with. And then there’s a third self which is mysterious and unknowable. Some people say we feel it in our gut. It contains the seed of our personality; the self that will grow in ways we never imagined and that pushes us to push back against those who would encroach on us.
