Change shows up in different ways in Astrology. The Moon represents cyclical change with its uninterrupted lunar phases while Mercury signals swift developments that demand your immediate attention because of their short shelf life. A planet turning retrograde portends an about-face while an outer planet like Pluto can take years to reshape the corner of your horoscope that it’s passing through. Saturn is the planet of the status quo. It doesn’t give up its ground easily. Uranus is the planet of revolution and change. Its demands for new rules will not be ignored. And when they square – like they have twice so far this year – you can expect sacred cows to be tipped and firmly held beliefs to be turned inside out. Proof of this can be seen all around us as we struggle to regain our bearings. Although the third and final Saturn/Uranus square of 2021 occurs on December 24th, it will still take time for the dust to clear. These are slow moving planets which means that their impact will be long-lasting and irrefutable. Rest assured that the worst is over, but it could take until April to discern what has been left in their wake.
