Oftentimes it’s only when we lose something that we realize how much we valued it in the first place. It seems to be human nature to take for granted the good things we have in life. The more good we have, the more complacent we become. Jupiter, like Saturn, is a planet of tests. Saturn tests us by withholding while Jupiter tests us by pulling the plug on our good fortune. This is what happens when Jupiter turns retrograde. What used to come easily no longer does and we are forced to travel outside our comfort zones to find out what happened. Like Dorothy Gale trying desperately to return home after being transported to Oz by a cyclone or the juvenile delinquent Pinocchio who must dive into the deep to rescue his father from a monstrous whale, you too may be asked to embark on an uncertain journey in order to recover something you lost. Some of you may choose not to, saying that it’s too late; but for those of you willing to take this leap of faith you may discover the key that reunites you with a loved one or transforms you from a puppet into a full-fledged human being. Jupiter will be retrograde from July 28th to November 23rd.
