A supervisor doesn’t have it in for you, but your brusque attitude doesn’t help. Somehow you two got off on the wrong foot. Maybe it was this person’s high-handed manner or your resistance to trying things his way. In any case this would be a good time to walk it back. Neither of you are what the other expected. He thought he was getting a mentee and you thought you were getting someone who was more on the ball. Nevertheless you can still find a way to work together. Go ahead and drop the deflector shields and open all hailing frequencies. You won’t regret it.
