The pecking order at work is changing. Supervisors who were assured of their place at the top of the heap aren’t resting easily nowadays while those who have spent time in the trenches being everybody’s step and fetch it will soon be rewarded. So what does this mean for you? You’ll want to be careful about who you fraternize with over the next couple of weeks. You want to be friendly, but not too friendly or you could inadvertently hook your fate to those stars that will soon be on the decline. Be friendly and non-committal to everyone you meet until you know what’s what.
