It looks like you’re suffering from a case of benign neglect. What’s hard to ascertain is whether this is deliberate or accidental. You keep hearing from everybody that you’re a valued member of the team, however you can’t help noticing that other people are being promoted over you or that they’re being given projects that showcase their talents. Perhaps you’ve been waiting for opportunity to come knocking when it should be the other way around? Identify what you have to bring to the table that’s unique and then schedule a meeting with your boss to tell him/her about it. It won’t fall on deaf ears.
