They say that success can spoil you, but sometimes it winds up spoiling the people around you instead. They may go from celebrating you one day to envying you; or worse: asking for loans and favors that they have no intention of paying back. You’re not one to grow suspicious of your peeps (you love to be loved too much) but now might be a good time to ask yourself what you are getting out of certain friendships. It’s not a crime to jettison the naysayers, moochers, and hangers-on in your life. Friendship shouldn’t be one-sided – especially when you give as much as you do.
