An old idea isn't as hackneyed as you suppose. Begin by peeling away the worn layers and you'll rediscover the brilliance underneath.
Why accept a no as the final answer when you can make some phone calls? You know plenty of movers and shakers who would love to help out.
Showing someone the door won't be easy. This person will stick to you like glue. Find another way to dissolve the bond.
