Compromise. Your willingness to bend on a hotly contested matter will do a lot to win back trust and confidence.
You may be spooked by the expectations being heaped on you, but remember that people want you to succeed. They'll do just about anything to help to make that happen.
Part of you wants to give people what they want because you know they'll live to regret it. Thankfully you have a higher opinion of them Ð even if they don't see that now.
If it's a choice between truth or dare then choose truth. This gets opponents to rethink their challenge and maybe retreat all together.
A supervisor is too crazed to see clearly. Present information as hypothesis - not fact. This will get mental wheels turning again.
Remember that it's your job to come up with the brilliant idea and others' to implement it. That's how a creative collaboration works.
