You’ll be astonished by the heated response on August 27th. All you wanted to do was help out but it appears as if you’ve only made matters worse. Maybe it was your high-handed manner, promising more than you could deliver, or a naive belief that people wanted things to change when actually they don’t. What can you do to make things better? Unfortunately going back the way you came isn’t an option. You will have to see this obligation all the way through to the end. It may feel like a long thankless task, but you’ll discover in September that you helped more than harmed.
