It’s becoming increasingly difficult to cover for a superior who is out of his depth. Ironically it’s not the cover part that worries you. If anyone can hold things together with spit and glue and still make it look good – it’s you. What’s making your workaday world a living hell is that he doesn’t do anything to improve his situation. Either he’s in complete denial about the downward spiral he’s in or he’s frozen like a deer in the headlights. You need to schedule a serious discussion on Friday about where to go from here. You can’t continue doing the jobs of two people.
