You need to tell your partner to get off your case. You can appreciate that he only wants the best for you – which is why he’s pushing you to push yourself – but Venus in Scorpio shows you nearing the point where you’re ready to shove back. In other words his coaching, provoking, championing, and criticizing is starting to become counter-productive. Btw: you’re not entirely blameless as you were the one to pass over the reins to begin with but now you’re feeling confident enough to take hold of them again. Next time don’t be so cavalier about giving away the power in your life.
