A Mars and Saturn conjunction is Astrology’s version of the Squid versus the Whale. Both planets will go at it with all of the single-minded ferocity exhibited by creatures of the deep. Mars is the pursuer and it won’t stop until it gets what it wants. Saturn is the withholder and it will hold out until the bitter end. This could describe a clash with a boss, a struggle with a lover, or a contest with a rival over a disputed claim. The stronger person will be the withholder because Mars – although exalted in Capricorn – is ultimately ruled by Saturn which is in its own sign. If you’re the withholding person then you’re going to have to look for a way to sweeten the loss or this could come back to haunt you later.
