You’ve had your fill of “I’ll scratch your back if you scratch mine” arrangements. It’s what you used to do when you needed help, but now that you’re in better shape than most you need to start keeping your hands to yourself. Besides you never got much from these win/win situations anyway. Somehow the other person benefited while you were left to pay the difference. The Mercury/Pluto opposition on August 1 shows it’s time to bring all these trade-offs to an end. From now on you get paid what you ask for upfront and if someone can’t afford it Ð then that’s their loss; not yours.
