Think twice about flying to the rescue of a sibling or friend because it could land you in hot water this week. We’re all familiar with the phrase that no good deed goes unpunished and this could be the undesired result of your heroic efforts. Either your support will be seen as interfering or it will raise the hackles of suspicion and make this person blame you for all her problems. Any way you cut it, it’s a lose-lose situation for you which means that you’re better off avoiding this all together. Offer advice and support at a safe distance – preferably by text or email.
