OUT, DAMNED SPOT!
Like a splinter pushing itself out of the flesh, that guilty secret or undisclosed misdeed will make itself known. And it won’t be sudden, dramatic, or even earthshaking. Things rarely are when Jupiter sextiles Pluto. That’s because Pluto is as slow as it is inevitable. Named after the roman god of the Underworld, Pluto plays with a troubled conscience the way that a cat plays with a frightened mouse. Maybe it’s the obsessive revisiting of a subject, the inability to leave a topic alone, or the dropping of hints. It’s not quite like Lady Macbeth sleepwalking through the castle at night compulsively rubbing her hands, but it’s close. And that’s because Jupiter, the planet of justice, insists on a clear conscience; it will push out a guilty secret the way that our immune system will push out a foreign body. It won’t be nice, but it also won’t be a surprise. What it will be – strangely enough – is a relief.
