It’s hard to tell if life is going to hell in a handbasket these days or if there’s some greater design at work. One side says that present circumstances are a simply matter of chickens coming home to roost after years of being profligate and arrogant while the other side says that sometimes things have to unravel and fall apart before a new age can be born.
