You’re ready to reassert yourself after weeks of withdrawing into the background. Part of you knew better than to hand the reins over to an associate whom you felt was out of his depth, but you were told (and in no uncertain terms) that you needed to learn how to delegate responsibility. Well you delegated it. And he clearly dropped the ball. Yes, it will be a major hassle having to clean up this person’s mess, but your professionalism will win you renewed respect as well as added cachet.
